Man Of The Hour: Tom Wolfe

There is debate in wearing clothing that causes people to remember what you wore and not who you were; one thing that is safe to say is that author, Tom Wolfe is memorable not only for his signature white suit, but his body of work.

With his latest novel, Back To Blood just being released, we can't help but see images of the flamboyant author and his impeccable tailoring. His uniform is a custom made white suit, two toned shoes and homburg hat. Mr Wolfe's suits are designed by New York tailor Vincent Nicolosi, recently retired, Nicolosi suits were almost completely hand made, very few machine stitches could even be spotted in the interior canvas. Each suit is guaranteed for 20 years. Wolfe was known to change his suit after 6 hours to maintain a pristine appearance.

Having a signature style is a bold way to brand yourself, and let people know what your about before they actually get to know you. Transform your look slowly and don't be too brash in what you choose, however a white suit has done wonders for the Colonel, Ricardo Montalban and Mr. Wolfe
